About Vineyards At Southpoint
We are pleased to announce that Vineyards At Southpoint has joined its sister winery, Horizon Cellars, in becoming Chatham County’s fourth commercial winery. Presently, we are introducing Vineyards At Southpoint with vineyard tours and wine tasting's on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12noon until 6pm, and by special appointments.
"It just takes one conversation..." says Vinter & Vigneron Guy Loeffler. In the fall of 2008, that conversation took place and subsequent plans were crafted for what was to become “Vineyards At Southpoint.” The grape vines were planted in April 2009 complimenting an incredibly beautiful piece of land that was rich in a history of farming and family. Vineyards At Southpoint has come to fruition through a lot of hard work, stubborn determination, and unwavering support from many individuals... most of whom “are behind the curtain” but get more than their fair share of the glamorous part (NOT!) of owning a winery.
